Congressman Lowenthal Supportive of Iran Nuclear Talks Extension, Sanctions Must Continue

Congressman Alan Lowenthal released the following statement on the extension of nuclear program talks with Iran by P5+1 nations which include the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, France, and Germany.
"It is critical that a comprehensive and verifiable agreement be reached to halt any capacity for Iran to develop nuclear weapons. While I am disappointed that the P5+1 nations have not yet reached a permanent agreement with Iran, I do support an extension of the talks. However, it is absolutely imperative that we maintain the economic sanctions that continue to hold Iran accountable."Issues:
