Press Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Lowenthal released the following statement after voting "yes" on the Quorum Call, which marked the beginning of the Second Session of the 113th Congress:

"Last night I voted on the Quorum Call, a vote that marks the beginning of the Second Session of the 113th Congress. My hope is that this session is far more productive and meaningful than the last session. The beginning of this session marks a unique opportunity for both sides of the aisle to come together and to truly focus on bipartisan policies that help our long-term unemployed workers; a comprehensive immigration reform package; and, policies that refocus our efforts on growing the economy from the bottom up and creating jobs."
