Congressman Lowenthal Releases Official Statement on Covered California’s Announcement of Plans and Rates for 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On Thursday, May 23, Congressman Lowenthal released the following statement in response to Covered California's announcement of their healthcare plans and rates for the 2014 healthcare marketplace:

"California's healthcare marketplace is shaping up to be the affordable care plan we were promised and the plan all Californian's deserve," said Congressman Lowenthal. "Consumers will be offered a range of 13 plans, costing as low as 29 percent below last year's average premiums. This means affordability, choice, and peace of mind for millions of uninsured Californians and their families. I am looking forward to the outreach and education Covered California will be providing consumers between now and the start of October's enrollment process."
