On Friday, April 24, Congressman Lowenthal hosted the awards reception for the 47th District's 2015 Congressional Art Competition. More than 120 students, family and teachers attended the annual arts event at the Long Beach Museum of Art.
The resolution also honors the contributions of Vietnamese Americans over the past 40 years, the service of U.S. and South Vietnamese forces who fought and died in Vietnam, and those who lost their lives attempting to flee Vietnam.

The theme of the competition this year is "Through The Eyes Of An Artist."
